Biography

Wu Xuhong, Chief Physician, Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and Burns, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University. In 1997, she graduated with outstanding academic performance from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, and after graduation worked at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University. Since 1997, after rigorous standardized training at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University, she successively served as a resident physician, chief resident, attending physician, and associate chief physician, and was promoted to chief physician in 2017.

From 2011 to 2012, she completed further training in the Department of Burns and Skin Surgery and the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Xijing Hospital, Air Force Medical University, under Professor Guan Hao, current Secretary-General of the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. She was named an outstanding trainee and successfully completed the training. In 2013, she participated in the rescue and treatment team for the Xiamen BRT bus explosion in Fujian Province; all patients she treated recovered and were discharged. In 2018, she participated in the rescue work following the Xiamen factory explosion, successfully completed the task, and was commended by the hospital. As first author, she has published multiple academic papers in relevant professional journals in the Chinese Medical Association journal series.
